Challenge

Access to the site was from Puhinui Rd, with Fairly high amounts of heavy traffic as well as a number of schools in the surrounding street. Access to the pedestrian over bridge was limited to able bodied pedestrians due to the removal of some of the access ramps.

Solution

We suggested restrictions of delivery times outside of school pickup and drop off times as well as restrictions to right turning construction traffic in to the site to reduce any congestion on Puhunui Rd. We also developed custom pedestrian signage for the detour of pedestrians with mobility issues

Results

The original TMP submission was accepted without any need for revisions, and the works are ongoing.
